Christian technical black metal, hmmm...that sounds interesting. Let us know what it's like, and that is a good deal for just about any album on amazon. I usually have good luck with them too. It came in the mail the other day. I haven't been able to give it many listens yet (been real busy, my sister just graduated from high-school + new job) but so far I really like that cd. I've heard people complain about the recording quality, but I don't mind. If you want real extreme, intense black metal, minus the corny satanic lyrics (they are Christian, but no corny "Christiany" lyrics either and two songs are in all Norwegein) then I highly suggest Lengsel. -Kerrick

Well, after a few listens, I have to say, it's pretty good. Very intense. I just got Shadow Gallery's debut in today. I'm listening ot it right now and really like it quite a bit. Anyone else like Shadow Gallery? -Kerrick

Shadow Gallery are a perfect example of where the combined talents don't make a great whole.
Terrible songs. Bad albums. Great musicianship

Really? See, I like them quite a bit. I guess it's just a matter of taste, but I could see why someone may not like them though. I've had "Legacy" for a while and there's some real good songs on it. Just listen to "Colors," "Destination Unknown," and the title track. Those are my favorites from that one. I've only listened to their 1st one once, so I can't comment on the songs yet, but I like what I've heard. Out of curiousity, what albums have you heard from them, Ben?

I like Shadow Gallery, The new one was undeserved of the panning it got. The older stuff is better though. Tyranny still being their best.

Cool about that other album you got kerrick, will have to keep that in the memory banks. Never have tried Shadow Gallery yet, only know the name from the singer and the track he does on Ayreon's "The Human Equation"...one of the best on the album IMO. My kids love it too, especially the little guy...whenever I work in the yard he asks if I can play that cool song with the weird guitar in the beginning and the guy screams at the end(D. Townsend)...LOL!

Had to grab a copy of Melechesh "Sphynx" finally. Been reading a lot about them and so far it's not disappointing at all. Great thrashy black/death stuff, cool riffs throughout and the drums are amazing. Guess that Proscriptor guy who drummed is gone though... Was just reading on their site about the new drummer and new album maybe in the fall. Will have to pick up "Djinn" soon, but I swear "Colour Journey" with Colleen has to be my next buy!!! Found it on The End, so very soon...

Very cool. I was just reading about those guys too. They sound pretty cool. I just got in "Tyranny" by Shadow Gallery today. I like it a lot (sorry Ben). It's a fun album. I've only listened to it once so far, but thoroughly enjoyed it. -Kerrick

Tyranny is an excellent album. Carved In Stone is cool too. Definitely the best SG albums...

Yeah, "Carved in Stone" is next on my list, then "Room V." I've heard good things about "Room V" and am curious to hear it. And since it's continuing the story that "Tyranny" started, it should be a winner!

Gonna read up on SG, don't really know much about them yet. Update on Agalloch "Pale Folklore", put it aside for awhile and played it today...really like it a lot. The 3 tracks making up the first song are all excellent, the instrumental that follows is good although very mellow and moody. Track 5 is pretty good, but I think the first and last 3 songs make up the best of the album. The last all have great jams, track 7 probably has the best acoustic part. Melechesh is still kickin' my ass! Real headbangin' beginning to end jam-fest! Well, there's a mellow instrumental in the middle...but it doesn't hurt anything...

Cool! Yeah, The End Records is the place! I finally ordered that Garden of Shadows cd (from shopping.theendrecords.com) the other day, but I realized today that I never changed my shipping address from my dorm one now that I'm home for the summer. grrrrrrr... So hopefully they'll forward it, and soon, because I was really looking forward to that coming in. -Kerrick
