because they were in Atlanta this week(end), Kerrick (god I hate that name) I had emailed them a couple weeks ago and again on Monday. But if they were in Atlanta, I guess that makes sense, depending on how long they were there. Um, you hate my name??? I'm sorry? Or were you referencing "The End?"

I picked up Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos late last week. Hope to get a review done as soon as I can.

And it's your name I can't stand. All those hard consonants together. Flows all wrong.

Um ok... well I'll be sure to let my parents know... Haha it's not too difficult. It's just like Eric or Derrick but with a 'k' in front. Although I am pretty impressed when I meet someone and tell them my name and they don't need it repeated, for that doesn't happen too often.

Well, I finally got my first Korpiklaani album, "Tales Along This Road". I've been hesitant even though I've read so much good stuff about them, wasn't sure the 'humpa' sound would work for me...but low and behold it's friggin' awesome!!!.... #rockin# #viking# #violin# #cheers# I can't believe that much violin and accordian would work so well with fast paced metal, really incredible and original(to me anyway). High recommends to anyone who likes folk metal of any kind, I'll be investing in all their stuff eventually.

Got "Strange in Stereo" by In the Woods... yesterday. I'm listening to it for the second time right now. I'm liking it quite a bit. VERY different from "HEart of the Ages" but it's really quite great! So far my favorite track is "Generally More Worried than Married" with "Ion" and "Titan Transcendence" up there as well. Good stuff!

Yeah I'm just eating "Strange in Stereo" up. I cannot wait until "Omnio" comes in too! I've been listening to Green Carnation from their Myspace and am really digging their stuff as well (which I guess is no surprise with how much I like In The Woods...). I'll probably be getting Green Carnation's stuff soon.

So I FINALLY got my Alcest cd in the mail today from The End, over a month after I ordered it... But it was definitely worth the wait. Really great album - already listened to it twice. Thanks again Ben for the recommendation!

Next recommendation - the band PRIMORDIAL from Ireland (there are good Irish metal bands (Geasa, Arcane Sun, Primordial, Mourning Beloveth, etc). I'm listening to a rip of the new Primordial album "To The Nameless Dead", and this thing owns. Intense, brilliant, warm, honest, and with BASS guitar!)

I don't like the singer's voice much though. His death/black metal vocals are fine, but I really don't like his raspy/yelling singing voice. I may just need time for it to grow on me though, because the rest of the music and composition was top-notch.

My latest haul has been "A Clarion Call" by Asunder and "Martyrium" and "The Forsaken" by Antestor. I'm liking all three albums a lot. Next purchases will be "Works Will Come Undone" by Asunder and "Return of the Black Death" by Antestor to complete my collection of those bands (their full-lengths at least).

Just received my copy of Korpiklaani's "Tervaskanto", it's the special edition with the DVD recording of a Wacken show...supposed to be a 1 hour quality recording. Gonna pop it in today at some point, no chance to hear the album yet. Got another DVD for a friend for x-mas, should be a good one...can't say what it is though since he lurks here sometimes... So how the hell is everyone? Damn, even with a better work schedule...I still can't seem to find much PC time anymore...
