This is the problem with Islam, the 'moderate' muslims go along with the kooks. The kooks rule the henhouse, suicide bombers are mainstream islam as far as I'm concerned, until the moderates stop with the silence, stop with the apologies and start condemning the actions of kooks, I will not be convinced otherwise.

Exactly, 'ooh...I'm offended, how dare you make fun of Mohammed'(however it's spelled)...  How many cartoons and comics, not to mention TV spoofs have been done over the years making fun of Jesus and every other Christian/Catholic or otherwise icon. I'm sure some people do get offended by it, but from across the world they're threatening kidnappings, murder and mayhem? Oye Vay! |

If a cartoon in a newspaper did this, I'm surprised "Team America: World Police" didn't stir up anything more. "Dirka dirka! Muhammad Jihad!" I especially liked how much fun they made of Michael Moore. Hilarious!

And props to PM Anders, that's what
freedom of the press is all about...you
don't like it, don't read it, look at it...or
support it financially. This comdenming
the whole world stuff is BS, but not likely
to change unfortunately.

I'm glad that many Europeans seem to be finding their collective backbone. Ususally they disappoint me when it comes to Arab pressure (case in point: Israel).

Yeah, as a European, I'm totally sickened by the constant indignancy of Muslim extremists. I mean, for christ's sake, we've been making fun of Jesus for ages....
Seriously, the western press should just boycott the footage of these rampages. Because that's all it is: a game who is the 'more true Muslim'

Wrong thing to say, true as it is.
But this is the exact response they
want, it's OK for one type of freedom
of expression or press, but not another
if it offends a different group.
For consistencies sake, he should have
said, 'freedom to print what you want
extends to all circumstances, we will
choose not to look at or support those
cartoons from this contest...and we
would suggest the Muslims ignore the
ones from Europe.'
