I'm tellin' ya... from what I saw/heard this weekend, it will definitely not disappoint. I only saw some of the footage and heard about four songs total, but I was floored! It wasn't in the 5.1 format and the audience wasn't included in the mix yet, either. The sound was just AWESOME, great camera work... and we all know that Athenians kick ass, so the energy level was just incredible. Can't wait to see the final product.

Based on the artwork, they should rename it 'Live from the Oracle' or 'Fates of the Oracle' or 'Eyes of the Live Oracle' or something.

OH man They've got it through the merch area and on the Metal Blade Ebay store (just do a subsearch for Fates Warning). Links to both are on the dot com. Great DVD, and the outtakes are worth the price (to me anyway, lol) alone

Live in Athens may be the definitive "LIVE" Fates DVD you should say cyclopssss
The View From Here is awesome. The View From Here is definitely more of a video anthology of the Alder years with hefty chunk of live footage thrown in there, most of it from stuff on other DVDs, with a dose of studio documentary thrown in for good measure. The making of Disconnected is very cool. The making of Parallels was pretty good too. It is the best quality and most comprehensive Video thing Fates has ever done. I wish they would have had more footage from the show that Bernie V was playing with them. And only one video from Inside Out? I don't know if there was anything else from that album, but IO is one of my favorites and it's under represented. But it is definitely the killer Fates DVD to date.

I see the release date for the DVD is 11/11. That's a friday. DVD/CD release dates always fall on a Tuesday (in the US). I wonder if that date is accurate. Anyone know anything about this? peace, Chris

Hey Chris, That's the information supplied by Inside Out, copied directly from their page. Their main base is in Germany, and I see the release dates of pretty much ALL their new material as falling on Fridays. My guess would be that European release dates fall on Friday. If you want to check with Jim Pitulski who runs the American side of things, here's his contact info: Address: InsideOut Music America 344 TB Oakville Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15220 USA Contact: Jim Pitulski E-Mail: info@insideoutmusic.com Fax: +1 4129379283

Hey all, Just heard from Jim that the US release date has been pushed back to the 15th. Not sure if the European release date has also been moved. I will find out and change that, if necessary. Should be hearing some news on OSI happenings soon, among other shtuff. I'll keep y'all posted...
