I don't think it would have made a difference, many people who like Bush and voted for him agree he's not the smartest guy. If that is true, I don't think too many would have changed their minds or ran out and voted for Kerry had the article ran. Just my opinion.... Seth

And that's a damn shame if it is or would be true. Blind faith does nothing for the best interest of the American people or the truth. Damn...

I really don't want to hear about Bush's bulge.
Do remember that Bush got fucking owned at the first debate. If he'd have gotten nailed like that for the other ones, it MAY have had some effect.
However, the mass populace is pretty fucking dull, and reflect that in their desire to elect their fellow dullards to public office. Morons. Not quite as scary, though, as people who actually support a president less intelligent than themselves.
Whatever. The new budget may be a sign of what's in store. I'm already less optimistic.

Bush looked awful at the first debate, if someone was feeding him lines they should be shot.
Besides even if there was a device wired to his ear, it might have been nothing more than a message from the secret service to say 'get down' or something.
Or perhaps you're all just crazy. Why worry about it?

Because the whole point of the debate is for people to see how well these guys know their shit, how good they are on their feet, and how quickly they can justify their words and actions. A teleprompter at a press conference is one thing, but this is more like being fed your testimony at a trial. You just don't do that.

Dude... READ the article. It's pretty credible stuff. I know it's hard to believe that the Bush administration is capable of anything like that or anything underhanded or exploitive, not to mention unethical and improper or illegal (:-)) but read it. FAIR is non-partisian and seeks to bring forth facts and facets of the issues the "liberal" (read: corporate mass media) FAILS to do. Honestly, read the article, man. THe mass media in this country is failing in it's mission and this another example. Watch out or they;'ll investigate your private life at college, lol!

A teleprompter at a press conference is one thing, but this is more like being fed your testimony at a trial. You just don't do that. I agree, however you're stringing together too many 'ifs' to come up with anything credible, when ultimately you know nothing, and its long gone at this point. Bush won the election fair and square, ironically they try to point this out at the debate which he looks pitiful. Whether he was fed lines or not is just silly, he sucked. Futhermore I don't care, anyone with a brian in their head is going to pass voting judgement on his 4 years in office not a 40 min. debate, which he may have been wearing a device, which may have been used to feed him lines, which may or may not have even worked, which resulted in a shitty performance either way, and he still won the election, and it doesn't matter!! Discussing this now says a lot about one's character, and none of those things are good.
