Does anyone know if FW will finally do the U.S. headline trek later this year? Perhaps to support the forthcoming DVD release?

Greetings Samsara,
As of right now, we haven't heard anything regarding a US tour. Jim stated a while back that after the European tour, work on the new OSI and a "possible" US tour would be two things he would be working on. Currently, Jim's working on the new OSI and Ray's other side project, Redemption, was released in June, so I think they are concentrating on those things as of late. I will post any announcements regarding touring as soon as I'm notified of anything.

I would hope they choose to do a tour soon, but can't expect it. I sure would love to see them live again.

Screw all this side project crap. Fates Warning should be the priority. TOUR THE STATES.

Well, there's only two remaining members left. So I guess if there was to be a tour, they'd have to get a replacement drummer as they did with NDV on the last one. Seriously, I see OSI touring before Fates. Why do you think Ray joined Redemption fulltime? I bet he's sick of waiting around for things to happen. Which is fully understandable, imo.

Technically, there are 3 remaining members left: Joey Vera is an official member of the band. I don't think a lot of you realize that while Fates Warning may be the real deal, the side projects pay the bills a little better. FW releases albums for its remaining hardcore fanbase, whereas the side projects have more commercial appeal because they attract hardcore fans from other bands. I confess, this is just a guess on my part, but I feel it is an accurate guess. I can definitely say I'm looking forward to another OSI album. If the next album is as good as the first, I'd be tempted to say that OSI is much more than a side-project. Certain moments on OSI were very much like certain moments on FWX, while other moments on FWX were very much like Engine. I think what we're going to see from FW in the future is a more complete fusion of Ray's and Jim's influences. I for one am very much looking forward to that.
