These three alabums were relseased in 1989, 1991, and 1994 respectively. They were re-released in the late 90's. Do the newer version of these alblums have better sound quality? I have the orginal releases and am thinking about getting the updated versions, I'm just wondering if they sound better.

newer versions? The FW remaster series hasn't yet reached No Exit, which was 1987, so wait a few years

if you look on amazon there are two versions of each of those releases. The original releases are ouf of print, they were released again in the late 90's. But it deson't indicate that there were remastered, so thats why I'm wondering about the sound quality.

The original ones probably had the 1/2 volume that original vinyl to CD transfers used to have. But I don't think they have been remastered..... YET! #praying#

Thanks for this thread! I'm relatively new to Fates Warning and a total newbie to this forum. I'm going out to buy my first two FW CDs: Parallels and Perfect Symmetry after posting this. I was also wondering whether these albums were going to be remastered shortly as I can see from the website news that Disconnected, Inside Out and A Pleasant Shade of Grey will be soon. Guess this thread answers my question! I'm off to buy the two CDs cause I can't wait for a few years to catch up on a band I don't know how I missed....

Perfect Symmetry is the best album to get into FW, probaly the worst too, as it easly has the most detail in all aspects and any other album will disappoint you then ;-)
