Hello, everyone I am a long-time and hardcore Fates fan who was wondering if anyone knew where to get ahold of the Fates Warning tribute album. I know it was on planetsarcasm.com but I went there today and could not find it.
Also, does anyone know where to get ahold of Psychotic
Waltz albums? I know Metal Blade re-issued double sets of the PW albums but I read today they stopped selling them.
Anyways, I'd rather have the single albums alone as I particularly want A Social Grace. After reading the old post in here about your fave Psychotic album I went and read Fox's review of them on The Final Verdict webpage and was hooked from the first line of the review. They sound like Fates Warning recording with John Arch again, that is awesome.
I have since downloaded some of their songs from ASG and they do not disappoint. There's also definitely a Fates influence in both the music and vocals and also a Jethro Tull influence. More specifically, they sound like Awaken the Guardian meets Aqualung, only when Buddy sounds like Ian Anderson he sounds like a much more advanced version of Anderson.
The songs I've downloaded are And The Devil Cried, A Psychotic Waltz, Halo of Thorns, I Remember, Only in a Dream, and Another Prophet song. I'm hooked, I love these guys, they have a potential hardcore fan here, but it's hard to find their stuff, they're even more underground than the mighty Fates.
Anyways, I'm sure I'd purchase all of their albums but I'd like to start out with A Social Grace so if anyone could help me that'd be swell.
btw - Fates Warning are the best band that you will find on this planet.
