...is the most ridiculous thing I've heard: that the economy is bad. Just today I was watching the talking heads #chatterbox# on the news discussing the Dow and unemployment figures when a Democratic strategist (go figure) says that the folks in the heartland are "hurting" in this economy. Give me a break! #rollingeyes# It's easy for somebody in New York or Washington to *say* that the heartland is suffering, but I LIVE IN THE HEARTLAND (you can't get any more "heartland" than Iowa). I also work in one of the most volatile industries (construction) and I can tell you that I most definitely am NOT hurting. #notsayingaword# It's bad enough that both parties are slinging mud at each other, but let's cut it out with the outright LYING! #shameonyou#

Amen brother! But seriously. You're right though. We as Americans have it so much better than the majority of the world, and these selfish punks are complaining how they have to settle with a brand new Hummer H2 without the laser-guided-GPS locater/transmogrifier-automatic co-pilot option thingy because of our "poor economy." People (especially liberals...) always seem to see the glass half-empty, but if you were to take a glance around the Earth as a whole, America's glass is more like 7/8 full. -Kerrick

This election is beyond pathetic, choices are horrible.
Democrat party platform: George Bush is evil. Republican party platform: we didn't do a very good job, but the democrats are worse.
Now vote.
Sadly the latter is true. Republicans certainly don't deserve to be re-elected but I truly believe the Dems are worse. Not voting is looking good now.
