You can keep giving me the touchy feelies homie, but I just laid out the facts.
Crime happens yes, but crime in this country and war across the planet are at a low point right now. It may not last, it may get worse, it may get better. But the the trend is obvious, and you're not seeing it.
Wars raged across Europe for eons but now it is peaceful. Wars used to rage throughout the far east, now it is peaceful. Wars used to rage across this ccountry now it's peaceful.
And another thing Smog levels in LA are less than half of what they were in the 70s. Trust me I remember. Higher emissions standards and cleaner fuels have done wonders to the air quality in LA. It still smoggy on many days in the summer due to the fact that it is surrounded by incredibly high mountain ranges, but the facts show huge drops in Ozone and Carbon Monoxide. The number of days that the Ozone level exceeded government standards in LA in 1977 were over 200. In 2004 it was under 30 days. Now maybe you need to get the air standards under control in Arizona, it has grown fast in the last couple decades, maybe they need to catch up. But also I know in Phoenix they have high natural particulate levels.
As for diseases, the plague wiped out half the population of Italy... Could you imagine? Science has a much better understanding and ability to fight disease now than ever before.
But one thing I will give you, the possibility of something like a nuke destroying huge populations is still a strong possibility, but even that possibility is less today than it was 40 years ago.
Mutually assured destruction has done more for peace than anything before it.
You are only seeing the glass half empty...
And I just Jinxed it all Bwahahaha!!!!
