It all comes down to God. Liberal progressive secularists have declared war on God and Christianity. The Declaration makes reference to God, so it's out.

The same wackos control the Baltimore County School Board... they, believe it or not, would not allow Baltimore County School teachers to reference God while teaching the history of Thanksgiving. There is no more Christmas concerts at school, now it's the holiday concert. We (99.9% Christians) sit for an hour and listen to our kids sing about Hannakah, Rammadan, the solstice, and last but not least a Christmas carol... in Espanol of course, so no one knows what they said. Then we stand up and applaud like it's all s**ts and giggles.

Absolutely true, Both sides have their share of idiots who could use a bologna torpedo upside their head! I was just listening to Jerry Fallwell of TV right now, he freaks me out. LOL I just find this extremely absurd! That the word God can't even be uttered. I am not much of a believer but it feels like an attack on Christians and Christianity... And I know a lot of them. Makes you wonder whats next.

I am a believer, but the hard thing is this. I am pulled between both sides of this. I mean I grew hearing about how this country was founded under the name of God. Especially with our pledge of allegiance, you know things like that. Yet I do firmly believe that religeon has no place in politics, except for in the private lives of the politicians.

So this whole thing is just strange for me. It's like I don't care if it is in the school or not, but it's really frustrating to me to see people getting so bent out of shape and stuff.

Someone please tell me how the "God", "Our Creator", and "Providence" mentioned in the Declaration of Independence has anything to do with religion? Can anyone tell me what "God", "Our Creator", or "Providence" has to do with religion in general?

I think we should invoke the seniority rule with this one.

The Declaration was drafted in 1776.

The separation of Church & State under the First Amendment was drafted in 1791.

Thomas Jefferson was not violating an Amendment at the time of writing the Declaration. And, the ironic part is this: without the Declaration, the First Amendment would not have been possible, or probably never would have happened.

I also think people need to lighten up. Maybe read a history book or two.

Well dude it's like this. It's fine for now, the only thing I have to do is just stay away from the girl and ignore her, as for the guy that said something I forgave him, so me and him are now on friendly terms, but there is the guy that is sticking his nose in our business where it doesn't belong.

Not this past thursday but the thursday before I told him this, "Dude I know you have stuck your nose in this and for that the best advice I can give you is to not talk to me again...and I mean that's the best advice. If we need to say something to each other that is work related that is fine we will discuss it and get it done, other than that don't say a word to me ever again after I finish...thank you"

Well he sent an email to my boss telling him what I said and adding a few small things in which don't matter, but he told my boss that he felt threatened. So I got talked to about it and was told I looked like the bad guy in it. I didn't threaten him, but what I do know is that he was just upset because finaly for once, someone other than some girl wrote him off and wont speak to him.

I mean hell I just didn't want any more trouble so I told him not to speak to me. As far as I know it has all come full circle on him and his standing there in the lab isn't so good anymore. So everything is fine for now, it's still a little unstable but it's getting better.
