Hi guys, Haven't been here for a while and thought I'd just pop in to see what everybody is up to. Just wanted to let you know that Threshold's new album Dead Reckoning is out on Friday. I heard it and its an absolute monster! They are without the shadow of a doubt the best Progressive Metal band to come out of the UK You can watch the mysteriously beautiful video (its like a mini suspense thriller) for their chart topping single Pilot In The Sky Of Dreams HERE. This is the edited version of the song. The full version of his epic is over 9 minutes long!!! Enjoy!

album release day in the US is Tuesday.
The album's decent. Nice to have Swano around, as little as he's used

I like the way the Death Metal vocals have been used sparingly...sometimes less is more and in this case I feel it fits perfectly. People seem to forget that Threshold is a Prog Metal band and not a Death Metal band!

I agree with forgottenglory... I see it more as an effect that adds something "new" to their music! But it's just my personal opinion as I like "clean" voices best... Think the new album can become a new milestone in the progressive corner of metal...

Ah! The new album is out!!! I can't wait to get the limited edition!!! I read a review from Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles: "Dead Reckoning is one of the finest slabs of prog since Dream Theater's Images And Words"
That is going to be amazing!

they were wrong.
It's a fine album. Maybe 7.8 on the 10 scale?

I love the single - such a great, typical "Threshold" song. And the video is seriously classy. Album is on order!

Having listened to the album several times I'd give it 11 out of 10 points...
It has everything a good album needs in my point of view: - heavy guitars - great melodies - great voice - unpredictable songwriting (never gets boring)
and some of the best solos I heard ever! Don't know how often you listened to the overall album (quite important in progressive rock in my opinion!) so maybe you should give it another try BenMech!
