Ok, anyone who's actually tried to visit that today knows about this... but wanted to post about it here as I'm quite upset... You click on the forum link and about 3 seconds later... you get redirected to a rather graphic INCEST site. Sick... Perverted and just wrong...
I've about had it with that forum... we need to get people over here instead...
Fortunately, I just got my new hosting all setup and am working on the permanent board through that server... Will keep y'all posted...
Friggin porn mongers... And I don't see anything wrong with porn either! Just don't like it shoved in my face... *rolling eyes*

I'm glad you posted that. I just went in there and got pretty pissed. If I want to see porn, I'll search for it myself...damn I hate when those things pop-up or take over. Since I just re-installed my OS, I still don't have good protection and I'm worried about anything infecting me again until I do.
I'd like to see this board start getting busier. Nothing against the other one really, I just like this style. Mainly because good threads don't get lost and then have to be restarted for anyone to see the posts.

Yeah, I'm not a prude, but the jarring image of father-daughter incest FOR PAID VIEWING  is just too much for my normally steel solid metaphorical stomach. I've been saying enough is enough over there at the fw board. PrOn scripts, Political beatdowns by crass neo-conservative fascists, and Daryl's continued indiference at being a webmaster just ticks me off rotten. I've been there since 1997/8, when the board was first up. Most of my friends on there have left or found new homes. It's way past time that I did the same. The place is not fun anymore. Of course, I've gone ahead and spammed all my buddies (not any boards though) to register here at Colleen's board, where I believe real conversation can take place, eventually. |

 Yo Where did my old posts go. The Fates Board is so sad. I've been there 98 or so. I alwys like the format because it was easy to read. This format you have to go searching a little bit more, But Seth is right about the fact that threads don't get lost. I am so glad I found out that the Fates Board redirects to that incest site at home. That would have triggered the thought police at work for sure. I'm sure that would be a good career move. Not the real police. The internet police at work.
Big Brother gets triggered when porn sites are hit at work.
Thats All I need is some IS dude saying Whoah this guy went to an incest site. Then some report going to my Boss, or something like that.
I don't know how it works but I don't want to know. All I do know is they have the visibility to see internet use and abuse.

Duh I didn't think of that. Yeah I have worked with a program that shows what the users are doing. The same programs allow them to find passwords, usernames, credit card numbers, and so on. Trust me I have done it as an excersize lol.
But yeah I see what you mean. Well if you flash to it for a second it wont catch much, and mostly on the network they will miss it. But if all you are doing is surfing porn, then yeah you will get caught cuz it will show up a lot easier that way.

Actually, I have the same "monitoring" problem as RB mentioned, at work... we are scrutinized and have those Super Scout warnings, not to mention contraband websites, basically the entire web, at work, with the exception of work-related online work. Sounds Ashcroftian? lol... It's true, though.

I think some employers are way uptight lol. Sometimes you click into something and Porn does come up, you can't help it...unfortunatly.
At my job basically people can look at porn until they are caught...or should I say the students. So far we've caught people looking at all porn....and yes that includes child, animal, shit, and piss porn....it's not pretty, and neither are the people that look at it LOL.
