All humans are hypocrites to a degree... politicians, generally, to a much larger degree. Holding people to impossible standards is a recipe for failure. If the best we can do to "get" Gore is his carbon footprint is "more significant than expected" then that smacks of a witch hunt. His credentials regarding his pet issue are many and multitudinal.
I'd like to read that report, though, dude!
"Boulder of Salt"? lol... that could be a source of future energy generation right there!

Just go to a search engine and type 'al gore carbon footprint' you'll find all sorts of articles. Here's the first one: abcnews.go.com/Politics/GlobalWarming/story?id=2906888&page=1Of course they just try to paint it like a Republican smear campaign, but what is undeniable is that Gore uses 12x the energy of the average person. And that's just his house, I doubt he drives a prius around either. I take Al Gores talks about the environment as serious as you'd take a hunter's Safety course from Dick Cheney. (or I would for that matter).

I'm not saying Gore is the gold standard champion for environmentalism but he sure has far more credentials and credibility than most other politicians. As for Cheney, well... I wouldn't take anything from that guy at all, let alone a course on scat shooting, ha ha. The difference is Gore's GW seminars/talks/policy discussions are based upon far more than speculation unlike Dick Cheney's insistance that Iraq and Al Quiada are one and the same.

FDR was by far the worst president in the history of the United States. What I don't understand is how leftists can sit and watch each and every program FDR started crumble and fail and push us further into national bankruptcy and yet they still cling to the hope that "it will work, it just needs reform...."
Gee, sorta like what Republicans keep saying about Iraq.... hmmm....
If Republicans are stuck in the 1950s, Democrats are stuck in the early 1930s. You can see that by their presidential nominees. It's pathetic. More protectionism, more socialism, more taxes. What is this, the New Deal?
The current administration has been pretty lousy on the economic front - but god help us if a Democrat wins the next election. Prepare yourselves for the largest national capital outflow in the history of the country.

I'm not sure, but those are some pretty rash assumptions. It's far to early to predict some kind of economic doomsday scenario. We've got a variety of political/social/economic/environmental/corruption messes to get ourselves out of thanks to the last 7 years. Whomever makes the grade and becomes the next POTUS has their work cut out for them, and not just nationwide, either.
